Firework Edition Records was started by Kent Tankred and Leif Elggren in 1995, emanating from the performance art group The Sons of God, which has been doing extrovert work since spring of 1985. Firework Edition Records is also related to the publishing company Firework Edition, which was started by Thomas Liljenberg and Leif Elggren in 1982, and which was a kind of consequence of Liljenberg and Elggren¥s ongoing art project Firework, that was inaugurated in Stockholm in 1978. In 2017, Firework Edition Records was joined by Fylkingen Records¥ previous long-term producer Daniel Rozenhall. Firework Edition Records moves freely between sound art, music, conceptual art and the visual arts, and its productions often reach a point where traditional aesthetic boundaries, limitations and concepts are eliminated. Firework Edition Records observes and documents, experiments and asks questions, builds up and tears down. It is up to the listener/viewer to take what he or she wants - or simply leave.
